My Favorite Christian Band

Some Bible Church feller took issue with the guys at Reformation 21 for their general approval of Led Zeppelin.  You can read his post here if you feel like it.  What is amazing about this is that I thought everyone knew that Zeppelin was a Christian band.  Just listen to the words to “Ramble On” or “The Battle of Evermore” for proof.

Don’t forget “Whole Lotta Love.” It almost sounds like something the Apostle Paul could have written.

What’s funny is that as I pulled up the site to approve your comment, my iPod shuffled to “Whole Lotta Love”.

Point granted. The joke in the post (an inside joke among some folks in my church) has to do with the love for Tolkien that we share with Led Zeppelin.

I think Sean’s missing the most important aspect of Led Zeppelin’s danger.

In “Black Dog,” Plant clearly makes the size of one’s legs a precondition for the right state of the soul. This is works-righteousness through and through.

I can’t believe I missed that. Thanks, Steven. What would I do without you?
